🔌 How to Connect Stripe to Sush.io


Connecting your Stripe account to Sush.io allows you to automatically sync your payment data into your accounting software like QuickBooks. Follow these steps to get started in just a few minutes.


✅ Step 1: Go to the Connections Page

Log in to your Sush.io dashboard and scroll to the Stripe section.

Click the “Connect with Stripe” button.


🔐 Step 2: Authorize Access to Stripe

You'll be redirected to Stripe’s secure login page.

  • Log in with your Stripe credentials.
  • Select the account you want to connect.
  • Click “Allow access” to authorize.

Once done, you’ll be redirected back to Sush.io.


🧙 Step 3: Complete the Setup Wizard

Once connected, a quick setup wizard will guide you through key configuration steps:

  • Sync Starting Date – Choose the date from which Sush.io should begin importing your Stripe transactions.
  • Bank Account – Select the clearing account where Stripe payouts will be recorded.
  • Income Account – Assign an income account for your sales.
  • Expense Account – Choose where to log Stripe fees and other charges.
  • Products – Decide whether to sync product data from Stripe into your accounting software.
  • Customers – Choose whether each charge should be associated with the customer info from Stripe.
  • Class Tracking (optional) – Apply a specific class to your sales if you're using class tracking in QuickBooks.
  • Sales Tax (optional) – Enable this if you want to handle sales tax syncing.

Once you're done, Sush.io will begin syncing your Stripe data automatically based on your preferences.


⚙️ You Can Edit Settings Anytime

Need to make changes after setup? No problem.

From your Stripe connection box, click the “Show” button, then go to the Settings tab. You’ll be able to:

  • Change the sync start date
  • Edit how customers and products are handled
  • Reassign accounting accounts
  • Adjust class tracking or tax settings

You’re always in control, and changes will apply to future syncs.
